ZONE C SENATE: EGBOJA INTENSIFIES CONSULTATIONS, HOLDS STRATEGIC MEETING WITH LOCAL GOVT COORDINATORS

By Smith Akoko

Aspirant for the Benue South Senatorial District’s elections from the Igede axis, Dr Isaac Akwuma Egboja, has intensified efforts towards securing the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC), following his unanimous endorsement on Friday by the Oju and Obi delegates.

At the mid-hours of today, Dr Egboja met with his campaign coordinators from the 9 local government areas of Benue’s Zone C for a strategic meeting at Leech Hotel, Otukpo, where they fervently brainstormed on the game plan for the party’s primary elections scheduled for May, 2022.

The coordinators assembled based on their electoral influence in the local government areas spent hours to map out modalities for grassroots mobilization for the medical expert and expressed determination and readiness to get their hands dirty for the project, acknowledging that their principal’s consistency calls for sacrifices of time and resources for maximum results.

Recall Dr Egboja has offered himself twice for Benue South’s senatorial race with overwhelming support. The grassroots mobilizers believed he stands a better chance to grab the ticket this time because of the boost his ambition receives from the endorsement of prominent Idoma elders who have vouched for his capacity and credibility at different fora.

They, however, charged themselves to leave no stone unturned in the assignment of delivering Egboja’s mandate in their respective local government areas during and after the primary elections. After hours of deliberation, the meeting was adjourned to an undisclosed date and venue.
