L-r: Abounu and Morgan

The Benue Rebirth Movement (BRM) has congratulated the Benue state Deputy Governor, Engr. Benson Abounu and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on the Deputy Governor’s endorsement and presentation as the consensus candidate of PDP, Benue South, for the 2023 Governorship election in Benue State.

A statement by Hon. Joseph Ode, Director of Media and Publicity says the BRM Movement described the development as a major step towards the actualization of BRM’S and Zone C’s desire to present consensus candidates on the platforms of all political parties from Zone C to demonstrate their resolve to win the support of Zones A and B and, indeed, the entire people of the state for Benue South’s bid to produce the state governor in 2023.

In a statement signed by BRM’S Secretary, Hon. Eche Ijiga on behalf of National Coordinator, AVM Monday Morgan, the Project Management Committee (PMC) and members of the Benue Rebirth Movement (BRM) as well as the entire people of Benue South Senatorial District (Zone C), the Movement enjoined the PDP in Zones A and B, as well as the All Progressives Congress (APC) and other political parties in the state to follow the example of PDP in working out a consensus arrangement for Zone C aspirants.

On its part, the BRM pledged its continued non-partisanship and impartiality to all aspirants and parties as it provides leadership for Benue South’s quest for a Benue state Governor in 2023.

The Movement called on the entire people of Benue state to key into this popular aspiration of the Benue people for fairness, equity and inclusive governance in the state.
